Tonight on American Idol 2012 we’ll be treated to three songs by the final three performers with a wide range of choices without the limits of themes. One song will be selected by the finalists, another by the judges, and the last will be from the mind of Jimmy Iovine. We’ve got the song list spoilers already for you if you can’t wait to hear what’s heading your way.

Along with tonight’s Idol performances we’ll enjoy the homecoming events for Phillip, Joshua, and Jessica. From what we saw over the weekend the turn out was huge for all of them which bodes well for the American Idol summer tour.

Tonight’s performances and votes will decide who moves on to the season finale next week and who goes home just shy of the big event. Will your American Idol 2012 favorite make the cut? You better keep voting to make sure that happens.

Looks like we’ll have to wait until showtime to find out which one is the singer’s choice, the judges’ choice, and Jimmy’s choice.

Perhaps the funniest part of this week’s spoiler list is the picture of JLo’s head with a bubble featuring her trademark “I’ve got goosies!” commentary. If even the show thinks she boils down to that one liner then she might be right to start questioning a return invitation for next season.

Following in the footsteps of her fellow American Idol 2012 eliminated finalists, Hollie Cavanagh made the rounds this week for interviews and performances. Hollie stopped by the Today Show on NBC, Access Hollywood for a performance of “The Climb,” and then Live! With Kelly for a performance of “Bleeding Love” and brief interview. No Anderson Cooper clips this time around like we’ve seen over the past few weeks, but if we find more of Hollie’s post-American Idol performances then we’ll add them on here.

The Today Show hosts try to corner Hollie in to picking a potential winner, but she successfully dodges the question by answering “you never know what’s going to happen.”

Last week American Idol 2012 judge Jennifer Lopez called in to question her return to Idol for season 12. This week Lopez was out promoting a new movie on Ellen and when asked again about her return JLo again answered in vague and uncertain terms.

“I don’t know,” said Jennifer when Ellen asked, “are you going to go back [to American Idol] next year?” Lopez continued saying she didn’t know if she could go for a third year. “I miss doing other things,” Jennifer added. What? Like resting your unfinished album on the shelf until your label, Sony, drops you?

Considering her paint-by-numbers repeat of last year’s “I don’t know” approach to negotiating her contract I initially assumed this was her trying to grab for more money yet again, but that might not be the case. Yesterday we learned about FOX looking to making some big changes which could easily mean new judges. Lopez could see the writing on the wall and is carefully positioning herself to avoid an embarrassing dismissal.

Tonight is the last American Idol 2012 performance show before the season 11 finale.

The Top 3 will be singing three songs each. One will be picked by the American Idol judges, another by mentor Jimmy Iovine and the third will be a song of their choosing.

We’ll only see a bit of the Top 3 homecoming as tonight as they usually save that for results show filler.
